Judge Turpin's vocal rangeIs it lower than Sweeney? The reason I ask is because when they harmonize on "Pretty Women", it's hard for me to tell.

Yes, Judge Turpin is lower than Sweeney, although I do not know what the exact range is.

Not much. He probably goes up to a D or an E at most. Any note that's too high, you could easily speak.

I wish that the Sweeney forum had a "Sticky" vocal range thread like the BatB forum does. Since it doesn't, can someone try to post (either in this thread or PM me) what each of the main ST characters' ranges are?

Bass-Baritone, just like Sweeney. He has to sustain an F in his "Johanna" song, when he sings "God." Though I imagine you could easily get away with a falsetto. For the other vocal ranges? I know the basic, but not the exact notes.
Sweeney Todd/Benjamin Barker: Bass-Baritone
Nellie Lovett: Mezzo
Anthony Hope: Tenor or high Baritone
Johanna Barker: Soprano
Judge Turpin: Bass-Baritone
Beadle Bamford: Tenor or Countertenor
Pirelli/Danny O'Higgins: Operatic Tenor
Tobias Ragg: Tenor
Beggar Woman: Soprano
Fogg: Speaking role that nobody cares about.

Um, actually that's entirely acurate. The Beadle isn't a Tenor or a Counter-Tenor, he's a Tenor with a falsetto extension. A Counter-Tenor is someone who sings entirely in a falsetto, and the Beadle doesn't. Also, Todd is really more of a low-lying Baritone role than a Bass-Baritone. A complete vocal cast list is below:
Todd: Baritone
Mrs. Lovett: Mezzo-Soprano
Tobias: Tenor
Antony: High Baritone or Tenor
Judge: Bass-Baritone (Tenor in the John Doyle version)
Beadle: High Tenor
Beggar Woman: Soprano
Pirelli: High Tenor (Mezzo-Soprano in the John Doyle version)
Fogg: Speaking Role
Birdseller: Speaking Role
Passerby: Speaking Role (Doubled with Beggar Woman in John Doyle verson)
Soloists in THE BALLAD OF SWEENEY TODD:
1st verse, First Ballad: Bass (Doubled with Tobias in JD version, so Tenor)
2nd verse, First Ballad: Tenor (Doubled with Tobias/1st Verse in JD version)
Trio, ballad after Pirelli's death: Three Tenors
Letter Quintet: Soprano, Mezzo-Soprano, Tenor, Baritone and Bass

Sweeney is a bass-baritone. He goes as low as the first soloist in the ballad. He's all over the place, really.
