I know John Partridge was in Rent as Roger, but when and where? And does anyone know where I can find pictures, voice recordings, video recordings, anything?

Huh? I just wanted to know if anyone had any pictures or if there was anything on You Tube. YouTube is illegal? What? I'm confused...

YouTube is not illegal. Some of the things people put on there are, however...

UPDATE!!! I randomly came across this on LiveJournal.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncNVs9X4XSo

I don't know if this is an illegal recording or not... so I guess it's okay to post it. If it it, I'll take it off. No harm done. Bleh.

Another random Livejournal finding. You have to scroll down towards the bottom. Don't know if that offer is still in effect, but I suppose you could always ask her where she got it.

Wow1 John Partridge can sing. I'm glad that the essence of Tugger doesn't come out in the role of Roger. These videos show that John can act without having to play the same role over and over again.

I think you're all right with the videos Alonza0. Other people have illegal stuff on there.

Just got the CD!

I am making a upload and will post it so people can download it!

Any questions? Lemmie know.

Of course he can sing! I only wish that he was in an English (language) recording. All the same, John Partridge has a great voice. I'm willing to bet that he has his reasons for not releasing his own material. After all, he used to have an official site, and people harrassed him and it closed down. He was involved with it too, which personally, impresses me. How many people do that?!? I mean, knowing you have fans all over is one thing. But to do something like that just shows involvement! (Which is really awesome!)
By the way, did you know he played Munkustrap in Germany too?
I would like to see him in that role, that would be really interesting....
I'd buy an album if he ever comes out with one, but I doubt it....
(Currently listening to: Rent, Broadway.)

I just meant he has a great voice.

Oh, no, I'm just saying I agree with you. Smile
I heard John Partridge for the first time on the Cats video.
The entire time after watching his number (for about the third time,)
I was absolutely hysterical because I was yelling "Dude, you need to make a cd!!"
I was more taken in by his voice than his choreography.
But when you really think about it, Tugger and Roger are two completely different characters, so he's not going to be trying to portray Tugger. He's Roger. Smile
Drumdraper

Eaxactly, but some actors play characters that all are the same. I like Partridge so much that I'm glad he isn't one of those actors.

You all probably know this, but being a MAJOR Alonzo fan I also wanted to point out that John Partridge was in the first(?) UK Tour as Alonzo. Woot! I would have loved to have seen him in that role.

Ok, lets give this a try:

Act 1:
