What would the ideal age of the actress playing Johanna be?

A community theatre is doing Sweeney Todd, and I will be sixteen if I audition. I'm a high soprano and five feet tall. I generally look my age, but can make myself look either seventeen or eleven depending on clothes and make-up. From what I know (I've only read the synopsis), she's a messed up ingenue. I've been trained vocally since I was very young, but acting has always been my favorite aspect of theatre. Is she nire if a singing or acting role?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think you have a good chance if you can act a song. Johanna can be horribly boring if played by a singer that can't act. You're actually the perfect age, so I'd definitely go for it. I think Johanna is really equally vocally and acting-wise demanding.

I suggest you go for it, but I must admit that here in LA, if a community theatre was to do Sweeney, Johanna would probably be a young 20 something.
