Joanne look-alike.

Okay, so i just got a bootleg of the OBC and i was wondering - in "La Vie Boheme A & B" and "Seasons Of Love", who is the other heavy-set black woman with dreads? I know it's not Freddi Walker, they're even right next to each other in the line-up for "Seasons Of Love". I'd always thought (on the soundtrack, anyway) that that was Freddi singing the woman's solo.

that's Gwen Stewart.

i've been trying to get ahold of it forever.

I love Gwen Stewart. Her SOL solo beats any other I've ever heard. She was also Joanne's mom, the bag lady and Mimi's mom in the OBC.

Try 'OBC' on google video or 'OBC rent'. I think either one works.

theatre4life, I think it's only in the movie where the character Joanne sings the solo.

Yeah, see i havent seen the show, since it came to Detroit back in 2000 - that was 6 years ago - and i missed it when it came back in 2003 (i think?). So, i hadnt a clue as to who really sang the solo in SOL. I just thought it confusing for those who might have seen it live back then or the bootleg for the obc.
