Jo Gibb has a myspace?I was so shocked to find her on myspace the other day, though I know I shouldn't be. Lots of people have a myspace, but I just didn't expect to find her there, of all networking websites. I should probably withdraw my friend request shouldn't I? She hasn't responded and it is all very untoward, since I don't even really know her. I guess I should just send her a message, and then see if I really want her as my friend. What do you guys think?

It's Myspace. Friend requests from total strangers are a norm. If she doesn't want to friend you, she'll deny the request. Don't worry so much about pestering her

yes, she's on myspace and other places too. So are Brent, Patridge (I think) and many, many more.
I'd not randomly friend people, unless you really know them. If a total stranger friends you somewhere, how would you react?Famous or not famous. After all one has also personal stuff on there and there were some dramas and non permitted "stuff usage".
Yes, a message is a good approach, my experience is, that they usually always write back, given they have time to read your message and answer.
Something important (even if its hard to apply whiles your brain goes SQUEEE!!! actor!!!) is to never forget to bring as much respect with you as adoration and fancrazyness. Especially if its the world wide web.

Perhaps it's different for people with smaller followings, but my experience with Myspace has been that musicians and artists expect and accept friend requests from fans, and some bands even send requests to random people in their area to get their music out there.

true, but those are mostly the kind of "listen to my music, make me famous" like the myspace legend. I left that one out, because I mainly felt it didnt apply for most of the current and former actors I had so far seen on myspace.
I have like tons of such musicians still waiting for me to approve them as friends.
It isnt like you'll never get to friend them, many of them (the actors) are very friendly and very open and welcoming.

Well, I cancelled my friend request and sent her a message, saying sorry for being so untoward. So far, she has only read it. I wish she would reply.
