Hi Guys!

I was just cast as Jesus in Godspell and the onething I can't find is the shoes to wear my director doesn't want the pom-poms and we r going with the hippie thing.

Any suggestions?

Take a look at the variety of Converse Chuck Taylors online. They are amazing.

Yeah, most of our cast wore chuck taylors and some of the girls wore these sneaker-flats that we could still dance in. We didn't do the 70's version, but they should still work.

Converse high top chucks come in all sorts of colors. I am partial to the purple harlequin or the hot pink.

We had our Jesus wear red converse and red-heart boxers in the beginning of the show, than changed to a Superman t-shirt and yellow splash pants.

We were on a carpeted stage in a church (although none of us actually attended the church we performed in), so in addition to our outfits we were able to have fun with our footwear too. Our Jeffrey was barefoot, I wore one blue sock and one red sock (as Judas), several people wore sneakers or tennis shoes. Our Jesus just wore brown flipflops.
