Jesus Christ Superstar, Farnham, EnglandFrom Judas’ powerful opening number “Heaven on their Minds”, to the big finale “Jesus Christ Superstar”, this fast moving rock opera takes audiences through a whirlwind of emotions. An unforgettable musical set includes Mary Magdalene’s tender “Everything’s Alright”, the Priests’ “This Jesus Must Die”, “Pilate’s Dream” and Christ’s haunting “Gethsemane”.And who cannot be moved by Mary’s poignant dilemma as she sings, “I Don’t Know How to Love Him”? With light entertainment provided in the form of the glitzy “King Herod”, this strongly cast production, re-arranged for amateur theatre, is one not to be missed. Andy Culley directs with musical direction from Graham Gale and choreography by Helen Buick. Tony Bryant and Nic Main, both new to Farnham Amateur Operatic Society, play the roles of Jesus and Judas. Some scenes may not be suitable for young children. Jesus Christ Superstar runs at the Farnham Maltings from January 24th to January 28th, 2006 For more info go to http://www.faos.org.uk/
