Jekyll and Hyde audition help

This might seem stupid to some people but it is really something I need help with. There is an audition for Jekyll and Hyde coming up in a few months and I want to be ready for it. I would love to play lucy but I am not sure if my voice is ready. I have a very strong voice with a healthy mix but i would rather develop more of a belt. i have heard lucy's before go up into their head voices on big numbers but i dont think it sounds right. If anyone could please give me tips on how to develop a good belt without straining my voice I would appreciate it very much!

The best advice I can give you is get a voice teacher.

I have a voice teacher but she doesnt really do a whole lot for that kinda thing. I dont think she can explain it right. the reason i still go to her is because she is still a really good teacher. i have improved so much since being with her but now i need help on something she cant really help me with.
