I rented this cast-recording from the library. It's a 1994 recording from Atlanta...I'm not sure if it IS an actual cast recording or just a CD (the bokklet stated that it was soled to raqise money in support of gun control laws in Georgia). I was rather pleased with it, although I'm probably not as well-versed in this musical as many of you guys are. I've seen the Ted Neely movie and heard this CD and that's about it...lame, I know.

Anyway, I was curious to know If anyone else had heard this CD before. The guy who produced it and headed the entire project was Judas (a damned good one too), and Jesus was sung by a woman (or a man named Amy Ray) who, interestingly enough, was quite good. I particularly enjoyed her Gethsamene (although I'm also the person who enjoyed Colm Winkinson's version of the song which I caught on Youtube).

The soound of the CD was more rock'n'roll than I recall the film being.

Anyway, forgive my lack of knowledge, but I am curious to know more about this recording, especially if it actually was a stage production.

If they'd changed some keys to fit the original versions, then I would have liked it better. Some unnecessary key changes made no sense. (Speaking of which, Adam, can you send me the CD again? No .rar material, if you don't mind...)
