Jack Audition help!I'm trying out for jack in a week and i am totally freking out there are a few questions i have and i hope someone can help.
1.) This audition is for my high school by the way and i had a question on the song i have to sing . i have to sing giants for jack but just a part starting at "The roof the house and your mother at the door....." till the end. i can hit all of the note comfertably but now i was wondering what is the feeling at this song is Jack happy, scared, excited... etc. mainly at the parts i listed.
2.) Also if i do get a call back to read line what is jacks character is he a loud boiterous man or a shy quiet boy, so how should i voice it.
and 3. (last one i promise). the only person that i know is going for the role, besides a few random kids, the only one i'm afraid of is the number one singer in our school. he has gotten in to all state choir almost every year and is first chair bass in our regional choir. i am wondering if i should give up on the jack part and try for one that will be easier to get? The new theater teacher who is the director dosent know me at all but knows him but my choir director knows me and him about equally and they are casting the show. But he is more flashy and loud and confident and i am more quiet and a little shy but still a good singer i think i just don't know what to do please someone give me some advice.
Also i am about six foot slightly tan a little chubby but not really noticeable dark brown hair thats about two inches long and i have a kind and a little shy nature if that helps at all
