Is LSOH a good show for junior high kids?

I am just doing research for our junior high school's musical this year.
Recently, we have done shows that nobody really recognizes, and I would like to do a "real" musical this year.

Do you think that this show would work for Junior High? I am mostly worried about the singing. Do you think the kids could catch on?

Let me know your thoughts and opinions!

Well I knew a group of kids who did this show, and the youngest was a seventh grader. The others were in eighth grade, ninth, tenth; around those ages. They pulled it off really well.

I don't think the difficulty of the music would be a huge concern. I would be most concerned with the language and whoever is chosen to do the manipulation for the Plant.

However, this show is meant to be done with a small cast..
also, the puppetry, language, etc.

To be honest...

The language is fairly strong.. and the plant is hard!

The singing isn't too bad.. I would just worry about weather or not the kids would catch on to the underlying themes... if they would get it.
