Is it just me? Tell me it's not just me.

Shall we compare?

... That's all I'm gonna say.

Woah, she does. That's scary.

*giggle* Sarah Brightman...I don't really want to be mean, but it's almost impossible...
My friend and I decided that when she is young, she looks like a zombie mouse, as in that pic up there.

And now...she looks like a dying fish. Shocked (on the ALW celebration DVD. believe me, it's almost torture watching her "sing" Pie Jesu)

lol, she looks like she had something stuck up her backside in that DVD!

Here we go again, ANY chance to pick on Sarah Brightman... Rolling Eyes

Honestly, isn't it getting a bit old? Let's find something about another singer or another Christine to pick on, shall we?

And what sin has this woman committed in her life to deserve all these bull crap from people, honestly? Seriously, it seems as if people always want to insult and make fun of her even more than Paris Hilton or Hillary Duff!

Well, I don't think the creator of this thread meant it as an insult to her. It's just something he/she noticed a similarity between.

But other than that, I do agree with your thoughts regarding the constant Sarah bashing everywhere. I think it's stupid and tiresome as well.

The sad thing is, it seems most of those whom pick on her, do so in a very viscious manner. I'd say the majority make fun of her looks, while a smaller number say her singing sucks. I firmly believe in allowing one's feelings and opinions be known but what angers me, is the fact people just jump on the bandwagon. I can't stand it when people base their opinions on silly rumors or on unimportant things like her looks. I think she's gorgeous by the way.

I feel even more strongly about the constant Gary Morris and Frances Ruffelle bashing. That has been going on for as long as I can remember.

Sad.
dramaqueen220222

That is rather funny, actually.

yeah who cares.

Not just counting the fact that the constant bashing and making fun of Sarah Brightman's looks is really getting old and not funny anymore, the thing is, Sarah Brightman is truly a great and talented woman. Honestly, other than the fact that she used to be an actress on stage, she sings, dances, and plays the piano. This is a multi-talented woman! And if her artistic abilities are not to be admired, I personally admire her strong will and her determination even more! Breaking free of Mrs. Lloyd Webber and went on to stand on her own feet in the entertainment world, being her own artist and own person, with her own styles and her own ways, out in the world making her own name w/ her own abilities. This is really a great woman! She's worked very, very hard all her life to get as far as where she is today, and she totally deserves the good life that she has right now, because she struggled and worked hard for a long time for it. And yes, she has naturally very large eyes, big deal! Really something that deserves to be made fun of over and over!

I love Sarah Brightman's voice, I really do.

But I still thought the connection was funny. Very Happy
LoneWanderer

I actually mainly don't like the way she sings...she's one of the worse christines I've heard.

As far as making fun of her looks...maybe its a hit below the belt yes...but really...pointing out that that picture looks like ozzy osbourne is basically saying it's not a great picture of her. Shes not really ozzy osbournish normally. She does have a rather chipmonkish look about her with the high cheekbones but thats nothing horrible...though some pictures amuse me as they seem to really show the chipmunkness.

I found it funny. And I love Sarah Brightman. I agree with everything you said Sissi, but I laughed when I saw the comparison Very Happy
SimplyElymas

Duuude. Heh. They do look alike. Very Happy

But I'm a Brightmaniac, and not afraid to say so! Personally, I think she's very lovely, and quite talented.
Etcetera Kitten

Definately, there IS a huge ressemblance betwen that picture of Sarah Brightman and the Corpse Bride picture. But about the SB bashing, I have nothing against her. I think she looks great on that picture. I couldn tell about her singing thought. I should dig in my parents' records and hear her sing.

I adore Sarah's range. It's probably something I can never achieve and I think, in that respect, she's very talented. However, I despise her voice. Does that make sense?

Even though I'm not a big fan of Sarah Brightman, I don't like it when people are teased about their looks. Be nice, peeps XD

i think i know what you mean. i think she's great, but there's this thing about her voice that annoys me sometimes.
and i like that picture of her.

I know... I've heard a recording of her singing pre-Phantom and she sounds like an angel. However, in POTO the vibrato is constant and it never ends. After a while, vibrato sounds more like an unsteady/nervous voice than a singing technique. In fact, I've noticed this problem with a lot of singers. They force the vibrato into their voices, instead of letting it come naturally. Very unprofessional, in my humble opinion ^^;;

She does have a special sound to her voice, but she also sounded very different live compared to the flattened tone her voice has in the Original London cast album. Live her voice was sweeted and fuller, and more alive than in the CD.

People are still allowed to dislike her, though.... Wink

Oh, the only times I've ever heard her is live. They have her singing live on the special edition of PTO (the movie).
