Into The Woods Audition (for a girl AND a boy!)My boyfriend and I are both trying out for a production of Into the Woods later this month, for which we each need one Sondheim song and a 1-minute monologue... and while we're good on monologues, there are so many choices for songs that it is hard to pick the right one!
I am trying for the Baker's Wife, I think (I've already played Jack's Mom, and I love character roles). I have narrowed down my choices to "See What It Gets You" and "There Won't Be Trumpets" from Anyone Can Whistle. Which is a better Baker's Wife song?
My boyfriend is primarily auditioning for Cinderella's Prince. What are some good Sondheim songs for this role? We are allowed to sing songs from ITW, but he really doesn't want to go that route.
