I am very interested in performing arts, musical theatre most specifically and yet I have very little knowledge of subject. I must know about twelve musicals. I'd like to expand this knowledge so I'm asking anyone to tell me some of their favourite musicals to look into.

start with the great classic masterpieces like Show Boat,My Fair Lady,Pal Joey,Oklahoma,Company,Follies,Gypsy and Threepenny Opera.

then expand into some grewat composers works like Cole Porter,Steve Sondheim,Alan Lerner,Oscar Hammerstein,Kander and Ebb, and the Gershwins.
