Illyria- New Musical of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night

Hey chums!

I have an audition for "Illyria" a new musical version of "Twelfth Night" After researching it a little, I have found that it was performed in 2004 at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Has anyone seen this musical? If you have, could you tell me the vocal types of the three women characters (Viola, Olivia, and Maria?) I have pretty much figured that Viola is a soprano based on the reviews I read (and plus the Shakespeare text would support that) but if you have any info on Olivia and Maria I would GREATLY appreciate it! Also, so that this doesn't turn into just another "I need help- I have an audition!" post- if you HAVE seen it. Tell us about it, what you thought, etc. Thanks!

Lol. I am not familiar with the other "Twelfth Night" musicals. I had no idea that "All Shook Up" was based on Twelfth Night. Thought it was based on Elvis- guess it could be both.

According to the email I received about the auditions, this new version sticks pretty close to the original play and even use most of Shakespeare's text.

I actually ordered the cast recording a couple days ago from The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (apparently they made a cast recording of their production) so I could get an idea of what the music sounded like. I will tell you guys what it sounds like when I get it.

Out of curiosity- does anyone know if Maria (Olivia's maid) is supposed to be a contemporary of Viola and Olivia- or is she supposed to be older? I am reading the play now- I am not to the end yet- but I couldn't tell from what I have read so far.

Maria (pronounced mariah) can be played at various ages but usually she is a bit older..since she is the love interest of Olivia's Uncle Sir Toby Belch.
