SINGandDANCE

If you have a heart at all you'll read!! HELP!

Ok to make a long story short basically I wanted to direct and choreograph a musical at my community theatre for the youth show during the summer 09 and got proposed at an unofficial meeting of the our production board that approves or denies shows. And then other members of the board who were still in search of a musical stole my idea and proposed it at this weeks OFFICIAL meeting and it got approved. So I still want to direct and choreograph a show for summer 09 but am having trouble finding a good show that will be well-known by title, but not currently on broadway. And perhaps one with lots of dancing. The exceptions being footloose, fame, little shop of horrors, sweet charity, fiddler on the roof, cinderella, and BATB b/c they've been recently done by my community theatre...your help would be greatly appreciated...
thanks

Well I don't know if this will help but right know I am in Oliver! and there is a ton of dancing and it really is a great show. I think it would be appropriate for youth theater. So there is one idea hope that helped a little.

Try one of the following:
Crazy for You
42nd street
Singing in the Rain
Once Upon a Mattress
Annie
rcs

Guys and Dolls
West Side Story
Bye Bye Birdie
Damn Yankees

And try posting this in the Green Room forum. It'll get noticed more there.
