If I Did Cats...Okay, I was looking for some help here. I've been hearing rumors about a production of Cats being done in my area, so I'm thinking about audition. If this does happen, which part should I audition for if I am 5'8, slightly larger than normal size, and can sing pretty comfortable in a baritone voice. I can hit pretty low notes and only some high notes. Also, does anyone know if wearing glasses poses a problem? Thanks in advance!

Old Deuteronomy or Bustopher Jones maybe? I don't think wearing glasses during a show would really work, but neither of those parts have much movement involved. Gus/Growltiger might work too with your vocal range (I'm guessing you're not looking for a strong dance role as you never mentioned it.)

I was kind of thinking Old D. to begin with. The thing with dancing is that I can do strong dancing roles if I must, but I'm more comfortable with not a lot of dancing. Guess I'll have to look into contacts!

Well...Bustopher Jones wears a monocle. 
Old Deuteronomy is such a great role though. No dance, but some wonderful songs and a really prominent character.

Yay for monocles! I'll only be half blind! I really like the character of Old Deuteronomy anyway. Big fluffy costume and wonderful songs. I couldn't ask for anything more.
