I think Google needs a new Map Reader.

1. Go onto Google Maps.

2. Search directions: 'New York, New York' to 'Dublin, Ireland'.

3. Look at direction number 23.

I mean seriously... How stupid would you have to be?

So my husband works for Google. He let me know that the reason that in the directions you travel to Mass first is because that is where the first person to swim across the atlantic did it from. The people at Google do have a sense of humor but they can back it up. Smile

It happens unintentionally though:

Sorry, I didn't see it on here last week. I've been away for a while, and I did sift through the threads, just didn't see it. Sorry.

Talking of this remined me to download Google Earth but my PC is apparently too old!! Pah!

Google Earth is fun for 10-20 minutes but then that's it, or that's what it was for me. Kinda nifty to see your house from the air.

However, there was some controversy recently about the images they're using - apparently they started using pre-Katrina images for the affected areas recently instead of the still-devastated areas.
