Hi! I'm new here, my name's Blaire and I'm living in New Zealand at the moment. I'm a dance and Musical Theatre teacher and I'm preparing for a big show in October. It's going to be mainly a Classical show, so I'm trying to find songs which aren't too 'poppy' to fit in with the theme.

We've pretty much decided to use 'Seasons of Love' as the opener for Act 2, and I'd like to find something else for the Finale. Hopefully it will be mostly ensemble singing, although I have a few soloists at my disposal, and also have some potential for dancing.

I have no boys, and my singers are beginners, so only simple harmonies are worth being attempted. Any ideas??

What a cool site by the way. It's nice to feel connected to the theatrical world while I'm down here on a tiny island!!!

Hi!

I thought about Annie, but the problem is, the girls are teenagers, and in a world without Musical Theatre (these kids haven't even heard of Wicked) I think Annie would seem a little juvenile to them. Plus, the show's theme is quite mature, not to mention classical, so I need something to fit in with that.

Thanks for the idea though! I need lots of help! Coming up with endless 'cool' ideas is tough!
