I need to get a FREE script for secret garden. I also need information about Claire Holmes. I was cast as her yesterday and I dont know if she is snotty of nice or mean. So if any knows ANYTHING about her I would love to here it

We bought a copy of the script on Amazon many years ago.

Claire is one of the dreamers. I don't know if she has any lines, but she sings with the other dreamers. She is the wife of Major Holmes, they both die right at the beginning of the show, when everyone in the area dies of cholera, except Mary who is sent to England to stay with her mother's brother Archibald.

I imagine if you were cast as Claire then you will be getting a script. And your director can probably answer all your questions.

I know i will get a script but by the first day of reherasal you have to know all your lines and the music and the scripts dont come in tell next week and I need to start know and I cant get a hold of my theatre teacher cause she is currently on vacation. thats why i was asking for character information

My daughter has only had to have everything memorized before rehearsals start when it is a professional show. And then they gave her the music and a script.

If they don't give it to you, they can't expect you to have it memorized.

I get the script next week but rehersal starts in 2 weeks and i dont think that is enough time to learn the whole script so I need to know what the muscial is about, where i can get a FREE script (printable) and I need to know where I can get music

Claire has maybe three or four spoken lines, most of the role is singing with the other Dreamers and a couple solo sung lines.
Claire isn't really mean, she is rather neutral. She is one of the Dreamers... people from Mary Lennox's life in India whose spirits help her to find her way in her new life in England.
Two weeks should be plenty of time to read the script and play through the music to become familiar with it. Some of the musical pieces (chorus) I can't imagine anyone learning without the MD to assist, they are a bit difficult.
