I just made the cast of High School Musical at the Playhouse on The Square (Memphis). I'm the "Jock" lol and even though it isn't a major major part, I am so grateful and fortunate to be apart of it. The auditions were a little over a week ago and they were definitely a surprise.

I had been looking forward to doing just a singing audition but it turned out to be a singing and DANCING audition. Now if you know me you know that choreography is not my strong suit. I was like OMG because I was dressed up...so I had to go buy some church shoes and get my "head in the game" lol We had to learn a lot of choreography but I went on and tried my best and it came out alright.

Unfortunately, I had to miss the 2nd callbacks because I had to get back to UT Martin for my Voice Recital. So at the 1st callbacks, instead of having me just sing he had me do the dance from the DAY BEFORE lol And sing AND READ A PART lol I was like WOW but I went on and did it.

Then Wednesday, Jenn (one of the people) called me during Piano class and told me that I did make it. I screamed!!! and everybody looked at me like I was crazy but I was so happy....for the whole day. I'm still amazed!

Congratulations! I actually considered auditioning (I live in the area) but I am so busy this summer, preparing for college, doing visits, going to a USPA camp. I know another guy that got in but he's a thespian (I am in a show with him now) and one of my friends got a callback but didn't get cast. Congrats and I bet its going to be a lot of fun and a great experience. :]
