Fabulous!
I need to get down to Stratford this season to see Cabaret (if only for Bruce Dow, who I love as a performer more than anyone ever). I saw almost the entire season last summer, and now I want more! Adrienne Gould is great...she played such an interesting Jessica in Merchant of Venice last season. And Scott Wentworth...amazing.

Scott Wentworth was fab as Claudius, and I loved Adrienne Gould's mad scene (she was basicallyrunning around with skinned knees in nothiong but her father's shirt and coat) but by far the best was Geraint Wyn Davies' Polonius-absolute perfection. Ben Carlson's Hamlet was quite good, especially at the funny, witty scenes, but he had a bad habit of over-acting the melodramatic parts (i.e. the scene with the Ghost) to a point where it became unintentionally funny. The set was quite nice but perhaps a bit overdone with props (i.e. fully detailed teasets, a full-sized pool table among other things) but the music was amazing, with bits and pieces played on the piano or oboe (I think that's what it was) by some of the characters. The lighting was wonderful, especially when it was completely dark except for a character or two talking beside a torchlight or or completely dark except for a pair of wandering flashlights-totally cool.
All in all, it was a wonderful performance, you should get tickets as soon as possible if you're going to see it.
P.S. Mizzie, where exactly do you live?...I'm from Mississauga specifically...I was just curious to see if you lived anywhere nearby...oh and by the way, Bruce Dow rocks, but William freekin' Hutt (RIP) was 100 times better...but he was still good as the Baker in Into the Woods and Bumble in Oliver...

Bruce Dow's Baker changed my life. That is no joke. So did Kyle Blair's Jack...which is cool, since I actually met Kyle Blair this summer. Such amazing performers, yet not as famous as they should be.

I still stand by William Hutt...I had the privelege of seeing his very, very final performance as Prospero...I sing his praises.
