i heard if u write to sondheim personally he writes you backhas anybody tried this??i saw this post off IMDB http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0814227/board/thread/95033293 2 people who are sondheim afficiandos said yes. one of them even gave the address to write to. Sarah L Douglas Douglas & Kopelman Artists, Inc 393 West 49th Street #5G New York, NY 10019 That's his agent. is that true??? has anybody ever gotten anything from sondheim..like maybe a letter of thanks or a picture or something? how cool would it to have your cast production photos of your musical by sondheim signed by the guy himself. i'm not really that into sondheim as others here,.... just thought i would pass this big of into off. please note, i'm not sure who his current agent is (this info was from jan. 2008), so he could have changed. |

No more replies...As far as I know, Sondheim stopped replying to fan letters once he found out his replies were being auctioned on E-bay.Later days David |

Re: No more replies...
That's sad. The man personally replies to his fan mail, only to have his goodnatured replies sold for cold money. Very sad indeed. |

My best friends Dad is the author of a book called Enchanted Evenings: From Showboat to Sondheim and he sent Sondheim a signed copy of the book. Sondheim wrote back, saying "I've already read it!"
