I have the choice to be in 3 musicals until this summer...

Urinetown
Guys and Dolls
Pirates (again, but since my dad's the producer he's pressuring me)

What I'll do is this...audition for all three, and if I get chorus for all three, I'll pick the one I'd most like to be in (which will probably be Urinetown). If I get a lead in any of these, of course I'll pick the one I got the lead in. (Of course, this is best case scenario; it's possible I'll only make it into one of these, or worst-case scenario; none!)

I've never turned a role down before though; is that bad form to just say to the director "I'm cast as a lead in this other show, so bye bye"?

Urinetown is the besat choice. you can be in Guys and Dolls anytime. its one of the most produced shows in the ciountry.

Pirtate..do you mean Pirates of Penzance? if so..its a great show but there will be other chances.

I say just be open at the auditions andi f you get a role do that show but make sure they know, at the other places, that you may have to leave.

If you tell them early they will be much happier than if you just drop out and most people will understand if you get a part elsewhere that you'd want to take it.

If however, you are some considerable way into rehearsals, and your dropping out will effect people badly, then I'd say stick but if they are all in the pre-casting stage then you'll be fine to pick and choose. IMO.

Do Urinetown. Haha, that's all I gotta say.
