I have a question.

What is the actual ending of the show? I saw it twice on Broadway now in the last 2 months and have seen different endings.

1. Meg pulling the cloak off the chair and the mask is sitting there glowing.
2. Meg reaching under the cloak and pulling the mask out from underneath it.

Meg pulls off the cloak. She picks up the mask from the throne and holds it up. The spotlight illuminates the mask, then fades.

If Meg didn't pull off the cloak, you might have been there on a night when the throne didn't work properly and the Phantom wasn't able to turn into the false back. If that was the case, she'd have revealed him if she yanked off the cloak.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought they might have done it different at the early performance.
The funny thing was that you could see the Phantom fiddling with the cloak then he just hands her the mask. It was kinda odd but I was just happy that I saw it from the 7th row instead of the last row this time. LoL
