How was Christine portrayed onstage?Dear PotO Fans,
When you either watched, or participated in, "PotO", was Christine portrayed, onstage, as being an innocent girl, or a relentlessly cruel tease?
Please don't argue about weather the character of Christine is supposed to be a saint or a tease; please just discuss the ways by which Christine was portrayed.
Thanks in advance for your participation in the poll, and for your replies.

She was about 99% innocent in the version I saw. But she did have her moments, eg coming on all touchy-feely before she took off the Phantom's mask for the first time, and during 'Point of No Return' (a performance-within-a-performance-within-a-performance, but still).

I don't think Christine should be portrayed at all like a tease. She is truly caught in the middle, she loves Raoul and is unsure of her feelings for the Phantom but nontheless capivated by him. She isn't a saint eiather, the actresses who portray her on stage should find a happy medium between saint and tease.

For the show to work Christine cannot be portrayed as a tease. She must be an innocent who is genuinely manipulated by those around her.

Oh who are we kidding? She loves the Phantom and she knows it.
She's a bitch, really.

No, I truly believe she loves the Phantom in the beginning, but manipulates/uses him in the end.
I always get a "F*** you" feeling from her when she hands the ring back at the end.

I always saw it as a romantic, dark aspect of the end of the show. But I guess we all interpret things different.
