How much dancing? So I'm not 100% familiar with this show, and would REALLY like to know the amount of dancing required in the show. I have an audition this upcoming Saturday, and says to come prepared to dance.
Also, what would be the most recommended dance attire to wear to the audition?

Well, I've done the show twice, and both times there hasn't been a huge amount of dancing, just really the Dream Ballet, and The Farmer and the Cowman (which is basically a hoe-down). IMO, the Dream Ballet would definately be the most challenging of the two, but I guess it all depends on your directors.
As for dance apparel, I have no idea. Something easy to move in, of course, but...

Are those all of the numbers that the ensemble appear in?

Isn't "Kansas City" a big dance/production number, or is that only in the movie?

Anyone else have any other help?
I don't think I'll get the chance to change from my audition clothes, to my dance clothes. So what would be suitable to wear?

I'd wear something that you can move in, but still looks good. For example, for my audition today, I though they might make us dance, but I wasn't sure. So I wore navy blue athletic capris and a magents tshirt with matching blue stars. It's defitely a dance outfit, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. Do you know what I mean?

Thanks a lot for the advice! I'm still not sure of what to wear though. I want to look nice, to give a good first impression, but would really like to be able to move comfortably during the dance portion. Eh. I'm confused.

Wear jazz pants/tights under your jeans. Though arguably a male role in Oklahoma would mean dancing in jeans anyways, right? Still, male dancing in Oklahoma is very limited. Just swinging girls around in "Farmer and The Cowman" and I guess they'll cast a dream Curly and a dream Jud, but not much else will have heavy emphasis. I suppose it would also depend on how they choreograph Kansas City/ It's a Scandal!
