How large was your pit band?Just wondering. Our school has a really crappy theater program that is just starting to redevelop itself. We'll be using just piano...and maybe trumpet (for Gabriel only) and drums if we're lucky. Did anyone else only use piano. I'm concerned about how this will be.

I don't know exactly, but ours is pretty big. Piano, trumpet, drums, bassist (I only know this because my friends think he's cute...), and a lot of other instruments I don't know the names of. Not sure, since I'm typically not focused on the pit while on stage  but I'd say probably about 15-20 members. Enough to sound like almost like the CD (of the 1984 version with Patti LuPone), at least instrument-wise if not talent-wise. Opening night tonight for me!! Freak out time!!

we have 20 pitters.
including a few adults who are getting paid large sums of money.
as in, hundreds per show/ rehearsal.
but, they sound incredible.
