I need help! The sweeney Todd revival is coming to Toronto, and I want to see it for my birthday. Before I explain my delimna, Is hould mention that my mom buys the tickets and comes with me to the shows. And it just so happens that she doesn't horror movies are anything with any amount ofd blood. I know Sweeney is a truly great story, but when I tried convincing my mom, she couldn't get past the premise of a barber who kills people and a cook who bakes the bodies into meat pies. I tried to get my sister to help me, but she doesn''t like the show either! I really need some help tryoing to figure how to convince my mom to get those tickets fore my birthday, or else I'l, be seeing Dirty Dancing instead.

Can you guys give me some ideas?

also show her some reviews of the OBC and explain to her that its Sondheim..and SOndheim's shows are musch more than what the plot is about.

Ask about 'another show' and just include the story (so someone searching for his wife etc a young sailor falling in love with a young woman who's guardian plans to marry her) without the killing. It may appeal to her then... then tell her it's Sweeney?

Maybe be up front about it. Get the video from the library and let her see it. And is the revival the London version? Isn't it bloodless accept for the pouring of blood between containers?
