How did you make your rose's petals fall?Anyone give us some tips to make this easy??

We had different roses for different scenes.
As each ne castle scene came we had a rose with less petals on it.
The audience never saw them fall. Only the aftermath.

We had a DMX controlled actuator with five pins in three channels. Bring up the channel, the pins release and the petals drop.

Ours never dropped on stage. We just had about five different roses, and we scattered more rose petals around the floor as the show progressed.

^ Poor techie. It might get lonely down there. I hope he/she was allowed to bring a flashlight and a book or something... I mean, that's what I'd do. Reading in the dark is actually pretty fun ^_^

Well, the rose wasn't onstage all the time, just for the scenes it was needed, so it wasn't too bad for him.

I think that's the way ours was, the crew would just press a button and it would fall.

I designed the rose for our theatre. I basically bult the rose from the ground up. I used copper tubing for the stem. Then I used a couple of fake stor bought roses. and broke off the peddles and branches. I glued the branches on to the copper tubing. I out a half a spher of at the so the endof the was just sticking out. I then pinned and glued the roses peddles around the the styrofoam. Then i used greenflorists tape and wound it all the way to the top where the rose pedles are. After that I used green and red glitter paint and then added a overall silver glitter.
The peddle fallinwas pretty simple. I used fishing line to go up the copper tubing and on a pin tha held a rose peddle. I had the other end of the fishing line connected to a servo. (remote reciever) It was connected to a remote arm that pulled the line down. Realing the peddle.
I builat 3 stages of the flower all released a peddle.
