So I'm doing a project for Creative Writing - What qualities do people look for when choosing a favorite character? I figured that you guys could help me with this one, after all, the conclusion sounds more realistic when you have actual facts or the support of others to back it up. So if you could please post who your favorite character is and THEN POST WHY YOU LIKE THEM it would be a big help.
And, no, you're not doing my project for me, I've already done most of it, I just thought having this would help make my project better.
And yes, I do realize that there is a similar thread to this, but, like I said, I want to know why you choose the character you did as your favorite.
I apologize that this is not a poll, but there were too many character names and too little poll options.

Here's an example of what I would like:
My favorite character is Alonzo. I like him because, as I see him, he is the ultimate under-dog. He won't be Leader like Munkustrap will, he isn't as like by the females as Tugger is, he isn't as goofy as Mungojerrie, as cute as Pouncival or as acrobatic as Tumblebrutus. The fact that he doesn't really show that he's an underdog makes you feel even worse for him.

See, that's not so bad, is it? It doesn't even have to be that long, as long as you make it clear to me who your favorite character is and why.

My favourite character, from the list, is Coricopat. I like, as I feel he is a highly mysterious character (I am a sucker for the odd ones ^_^), and I feel that the fact that we are left asking questions about him and his sister is a highly positive point. He is genial, polite, and handsome, to say the least.

However, I don't people 'pick' favourite characters. I believe that people like characters because they 'feel' that character. I didn't choose, for example, to like Coricopat. I just do.

My favorite character is Mungojerrie. I like him partly because he's fun and cheerful and silly, but also because his character seems to go deeper than that. However, no one seems to realize this so he gets trapped in only one side of his personality and feels almost afraid to let his serious side out because it's not what others expect of him.

Although I have reasons to favor Cassandra, I would have to go with Bombalurina. The Scarlet Queen is looked upon mostly as a b---h and a flirt, but that is the mask she wears. In truth, she is strong-willed, loyal, and takes things on her own terms. The Toms may think she is easy, but she does not let any Tom near her unless she wants them to be there. She is very loyal to her friends, and very protective of them. For some reason, she took Demeter under her "wing" and Bast help the Tom or Queen who means to harm her. Like Tugger, she likes to be the center of attention. However, she does this only when she has some Tom in mind... to either promise him the night of his dreams, or to make him wish he had never been weaned, much less born... Unlike the Toms, the Queens know the real Bomba... she is the Alpha type...

[Etcetera Kitten]

My favourite cat has always been Etcetera, and for many reasons! Etcetera is, in my opinion, the most adorable of all kittens. She brings a lot of happiness to the tribe with her sillyness and her hyperactivity. But I also think that soon, she'll be a grown up queen and still keep that sweetness while the other kittens may be a bit more serious when they become queens.

Plus, I am hyper silly myself, so I guess I recognize my behavior in Etcy's. I like to make stupid faces and I keep laughing at weird stuff when no one does. I also really love her colors and her costume.

So yeah, that is about it. Etcie rocks!

My favourite character is Rum Tum Tugger for many reasons. I like his rockstar style, his cool ways, the make-up on John Partridge... But I must confess that I'm prone to fall in love with those guys that pretend to be bad, are cute, and have cool manners (but I've had problems with that...hehehe)
My second favourite are Mungojerrie because he's the funny type of guy that also attracts me a lot. On the other hand I really love the acrobatics that he and Rumple do in their number, especially the double cartwheel at the end. I love acrobatics. And Etcetera and Rumpleteazer because they have a very happy personality.

At first, like Etcetera Kitten I would have said Etcetera and for the same reasons. But I'll not repeat, so I'm going to vote for Victoria (my other favorite character with Etcy and Jemima).
I like Victoria because she has the wisdom of the kitten which becomes adult. She's loyal, very graceful (I love her solo dance), and the most important she is pure like her costume/make-up, she's the first which accepts Griz.

I'm voting for Jellylorum. She's my favorite character because she reminds me of myself in a lot of ways. She watches over other cats, but is still young herself. I also like her visually. The usual color for her is yellow, which makes her quite different from other cats. Even Demeter has a lot of black on her, so Jellylorum is still quite bright in comparison.

My favourite cat is Tumblebrutus!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love him because he's so cute, and a gymnast, and I love gymnastics!!! I think he's probably the cat that's most like me and so relate to him better. I also love his colouring and the patch on his eye is so cute!! He's playful and sweet and adorable and I love him forever!!!!! <3 <3
