Homework Help - Who is your favorite character?

So I'm doing a project for Creative Writing - What qualities do people look for when choosing a favorite character? I figured that you guys could help me with this one, after all, the conclusion sounds more realistic when you have actual facts or the support of others to back it up. So if you could please click who your favorite character is and then post why you like them it would be a big help.
And, no, you're not doing my project for me, I've already done most of it, I just thought having this would help make my project better.
I hope to see everyone's post.
Thanks!

This is an example of what I would like:
My favorite character is The Phantom. He may be evil, but he is only evil because no one, not even his mother, loved him. All he wants is love and acceptance, and no one will give it to him. And, on top of that, Christine broke his heart. How can I let myself choose anyone else as a favorite character when Phantom is in that situation?
That isn't so bad, is it? It doesn't even have to be that long, as long as you make it clear to me who you choose, and especially why you choose them.
Thanks again!

Erik (aka TEH PHANTOM). Don't ask me why I wrote "TEH PHANTOM" but I thought that sounded cool.
Anyways, I love Erik because he's a lot like Edward Scissorhands. He's a very creative and imaganitive fellow, but is totally misunderstood. I don't know why I fall for these kinds of characters, but I do. Even though he has a deformity, he still is very capitivating. He is able to compose beautiful music, which I think is a reflection of the beauty he wishes to be. Y'know? Anyways, he has a love but he cannot obtain her (much like Edward)... and is left by himself. I think it's because he has this love that he can't have... it makes him so vulernable and human, because he's not just some monster dwelling in the shadows of an opera house, he's a person.

When I saw the show on Broadway, I honestly felt so much compassion for him that I wanted to go run up onstage and give him a hug. (I do give Howard McGillin a lot of credit because he was terrific as the Phantom).

So yea...that's my ramble. Embarassed

If I had to write the explanation it would be exactly the same.
