High School Does Defying GravityThis is really awesome. The choreo is kind of weird, but they sound utterly amazing!Sorry if this has been posted before... http://youtube.com/watch?v=Yb2Hyj5ii4U |

Thanks for that! I think they sounded great, and while the choreography was a little...corny, it's a show choir so I expected it. Love or hate Wicked or show choirs, I can appreciate good performances! (and I LOVE their dresses...so cute!) ((also, I really like how the soloist got quiet on the "tell them how I am defying gravity"...it was a nice change from the huge belt...it sounded great!)) |

The choreography was repetitive even for a high school show choir.
However their overall sound quality was pretty decent. The soloist was...alright...I liked her vocal quality when she got quiet, but you could tell that the belty stuff previous to that was pretty forced. With that said, they are pretty good for a high school show choir and a pretty large group at that. |

I loved their sound... the choreography was surprisingly good, although if you focus on just one person it looks really cheesy... haha.

The singers were amazing, espically the soloist at the end. But what was with the chereo? And those little red dresses...I thought they were a little glitzy for a school choir.

I thought that was a great arrangment of the song as well as a great performance!

Show choirs are all about the glitz. |

Wow. Usually people post dreadful clips, just to make fun of them... But this was actually quite good. I suppose dance moves are a bit cheesy, but at least they did them pretty well, and in sync. It didn't look that bad, and I was pretty impressed that they all stayed together and managed to move well and sing so well at the same time. If you asked any of the choirs at my school to do that, it wouldn't be a pretty sight... Though I'd love to do the solo at the end! Lol. Anyways, all in all, this was a pretty good clip. Thanks for posting it, musikal_geek. |

Oh, I know! They were beautiful! It was a nice change because we're all so used to hearing it as a solo (or a duet in some parts). I really enjoyed this clip. I wish there was some way that I could get an mp3 file of it, because I would TOTALLY put that onto my mp3 player! They sounded amazing!! |

If you search "Defying Gravity Showchoir" on youtube, the second one down has a guy do the solo...

This one's not bad:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5X__FV9zfS0 This is the one with a guy doing the solo that Baker mentioned: http://youtube.com/watch?v=n2EMe08aOu0 I don't like what they did with the beginning at all, but the ending was okay. It was kind of weak how he said "and nobody in all the world, no person that there is or was..." Whoever was the brains behind that creation should learn how to rhyme! PS here's the girls doing Popular: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jrHZIE_i3E0&mode=related&search= It was really stupid how the spoken parts are all together. They should have cut some. It's okay when a soloist does it, but not when a group does it. The song was really fast, so there wasn't enough time for facial expressions for things like "instead of drearing who you were - are). If I hadn't known the lyrics before, I wouldn't have understood it during this performance. EDIT: Here's another. http://youtube.com/watch?v=9BpykWThM3o I'm not sure what I think about this one. It's a combination of Defying Gravity and Answers in the Sky (I'm not sure what that's from). The performance is okay, not spectacular. If you thought the very first one was cheesey, just wait until you see this one. The drummer scared the hell out of me. Nightmares for a week I tell ya! |

Eh, I didn't like the first two at all. And that guy who sang...
|

Whoa... that soloist in Popular... errgh... and Popular just really should stay a solo.
| BroadwayBud |
I agree...
And you can't tell me that they couldn't find someone better to do the solo in the beginning? I didn't even make it to the end of the song. I stopped at the "la, la's"! I understand that it's a video, but for a bunch of girls in what appears to be a big school, they should have a lot more sound... |

The first one gave me goosebumps, seriously, it was fantastic and I love it better than the orginal. The soloist has an amazing voice.
