Hi guys. I know NOTHING about the show TSG, and I am auditioning for it July 11. I sing mezzo-soprano belt and I have a very high soprano range. (I like singing in my soprano range better.) I am 16, and the theatre I am auditioning for is for 13-18. I have played Hope in Anything Goes, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof, Gloria Thorpe in Damn Yankees, Kate in Titanic, Annie in Annie, eccccct, eccccccct.

Any information about the women/girl characters would be amazing.

the females in the show are:
Mary, who is 10, so she will need to be small. If its 13-18, she will probably be one of the younger girls, but most of all she will have to appear smaller than the others. She is probably a mezzo, but doesn't belt. She is the main lead, has lots of songs.
Lily is her dead aunt, has no lines, but is a lead. Has many wonderful songs, is definitely a soprano.
Martha is a maid in the house who takes care of Mary. She is a mezzo, has 2 wonderful songs.
The housekeeper, whose name I can't remember, doesn't really sing.
The Ayah, sings one or two songs, is sometimes cast also in the ensemble.
Rose is Mary's mother, Lily's sister. She dies at the beginning, sings some wonderful songs with Lily and the dreamers.
There is a schoolteacher, doesn't sing, in one scene. Ususally cast also in the ensemble.
The dreamers are spirits, or sometimes thought of as Mary's and Archie's dreams. They sing many fabulous songs.

The music in this show is wonderful, somewhat difficult, often there are several characters singing different melodies and words interwoven.

For you, I would suggest Lily or Martha. Martha is a mezzo belter who is Yorkshire and has two songs. She's very different from the majority of the characters, usually upbeat and cheerful. Lily is a ghost of Archie's wife, Colin's mother and Mary's aunt. She is a soprano and I would suggest her if you are more comfortable with your higher range.
