Help with Tap.

Hello, i've been doin tap for about 6 or 7 years and still find pick ups extremely difficult in the center, i can do them on the bar even if i dont put pressure on my arms but as soon as get to the middle i choke, i get about 2 out of 4 in all the time so my footwork sounds shocking on the pick up excersizes.

Does anybody have any advice or have the same problem .

I recommend doing it a bit away from the bar, so you're not touching it at all. Just the feeling of having it there makes a difference.

Also try closing your eyes.

Confidence is an important factor, but also have you tried bending your knees more to give you more lift. That helped me a lot.

Sometimes when i am thinking about it too much, i mess it up. Try not thinking about it and it will come naturally.
