Help me pick a HeadshotAlright, I've been accepted to all the colleges I've applied to. *golf claps* Now I have to schedule all my auditions. I have to send a headshot with my audition request forms and I can't decide which is better.
Picture 1

Personally, I'd go with picture two. It's really lovely and shows off more of your face!

Picture two.
The first picture, you look too squinty. And the pose isn't very good.
Though, I don't like the idea of strangers choosing your headshot.
You should ask your friends.
Because your headshot should look like you as you are, and represent you. Not look and represent you when you're overly dolled up. It should be the real you.

I agree with Laurel, about having friends help you choose. Granted, I like the second one as well! The lighting makes your eyes look very bewitching! They're both gorgeous pictures!
Congrats on the college acceptances!

(no offense, but the first one looks like you just got out of bed...)

Picture two is nice

I really liked pic 1...it's softer and yeah, very pretty.

You should definitely decide yourself which picture you like better, or get friends to help you. That said, the second shot is beautiful! The first one is also very pretty, but the second looks more professional and shows off your pretty face better!

My friends and my family have both tried to help me decide, but these are the two they always pick.

Try to make the decision yourself.
We don't know how you really look and how you are.
Your headshot should be you to the nth degree.
If you have flaws, it should show it. It should look like you.
Granted, the second picture is much nicer, and shows off your face more.

I wouldn't put too much stock in your friend's opinions. Generally young people aren't going to be looking for the same things in a photograph as an adult.
I think that the second is a much better choice for many reasons. If you are looking for solid advice, I'd seek it from any professionals in your life: drama teacher, music teachers, any directors that you've worked under, etc....
Their eyes will be much better trained regarding what qualities to look for

From a photographer's stand point, the second one is much nicer.

Which one do you like? I like the second one. The other makes you look rather confused.
Btw, which schools did you apply to/get accepted to?

Both are nice, but the first looks mean! And I don't think you are mean. I mean, it's not bad mean, it's smoldering mean, but yeah, I like the second.
And you remind me of my best pal Ang's sister Denise.

I got into Indiana University, the University of Evansville, and Hanover College. All in state schools unfortunately. I'm finishing up the NYU app. The only out of state I ended up applying, too. I'll probably go in state and do grad school out of state.
