OK so I just got home from my Beauty & the Beast audition - singing and monologues were today, and Thursday is the dance auditions. We were asked to sing something from BATB first, a second outside song if asked, and read a monologue. I sang the Wardrobe's verse of Human Again. For some reason, the musical director didn't know how to play the song... so I was stuck singing a cappella. I think it sounded fine. It's a rangy solo and aside from going flat on the last couple of notes, it was decent. I then read my comedic monologue, and the director and choreographer were cracking up by the time I was done.

BTW, I wrote "BABETTE, Belle, Wardrobe" under Desired Roles on the audition form.

At the risk of sounding naive, I have absolutely no clue how the audition went. I sounded well and acted very well. However, they didn't ask me to sing a second song - while other people I heard did. JSHFUSDFHUSD

It could be that they feel you showed enough range and that they know exactly where to place you and the other people they are less sure about.

Don't be worried! Let it be....that's all you can do at this stage of the game.

Yeah, they could feel they knew your abilities well enough anyway, or from that solo that they felt they didn't need to hear you sing.

This was a high school audition, right?
What grade are you in?

Anyway, it will be fine. If you feel confident that you did well, then you must of. Its all good

blehhhh dance auditions are today, I'm planning on redeeming myself haha. I'll let you know how it goes!

Well, there weren't really callbacks - the director just had a few people basically re-audition because they were sick, and she said the cast list would be posted on Saturday. Which, for her, means Saturday night. BUT I JUST WOKE UP AND LOOKED AT THE WEBSITE FOR KICKS, AND IT'S UP AND I'M
