Help! How is this suppost to be done?

Does anyone know or could tell me how they did their transformation for Cinderella's dress?

Here is what our production manager wants to do..

I am 23 (just keep in mind). She wants to add a dance for the mice (which arent really in the script) and then in the dance (during Impossible) she wants the mice to dress me. Sounds like a good idea, only the dress is strapless! I have lost some serious sleep trying to figure out what to do. She wants me to buy one of those Bustier or corsets that are strapl;ess and lace up the back, and then they are making me pettycoat thre quarter pants. The corset (any of them that are strapless) are very seductive and I have a very curvy figure (i am a petite 110 pounds).

Somehow I have been trying to put this in my mind, but it never seems to go well... OH did i mention the mice are little children, (ages 7-10). Does anyone else think this is inappropriate?

This is how we did it in the production that I was in:

A black scrim came down in front of the Stepmother's House set. A disco ball lowered from the ceiling, with lights shining on it to make a swirling effect (this looked really cool). Girls in black and sparkle make-up ran across the stage with ribbon and long pieces of shiny paper. The spun around Cinderella who mean while snuck on a tiara, cloak, and the glass slippers over her raggedy costume. With the lighting and everything, it looked very cool. She didn't put on her big ball dress until the next scene when she's in the carriage going into the ball.

Hope it helped, and good luck.

Thanks for the info..

I gues they decided to go for it the way they wanted it! However.. now they are going to do some rip away top rather than a corset. Who knows.. I think it takes away the effect if you have the gown on before the new act. But thats just me.
