Read through futureMUNGOJERRIE's post one more time.
This time read what he said, and apply it to your post. If you cannot read, try this: Hello, I need some help. I am wondering what roles would be suitable for an eight-teen year old girl. I would like to try out for _________, so could you please tell me her range and character type? It would be much appreciated. Thank you! Then maybe more people will acknowledge you. Good day. |

You're 18? Is this a youth production, or community, or what? I'd say you're probably too old to play one of the older orphans like Duffy or Pepper (the mean one); they're supposed to be about 12 and 13. Then again, if you think you can look like a 13-year-old, by all means, go for it. Beyond that, I'd say you're too young for Grace, Lily, or Miss Hannigan unless it is a youth production or the director decides to cast those roles very young. However, there are plenty of cameo roles that could be played by an 18-year-old, such as the star-to-be, the Boylan sisters, the singers in "Hooverville," the maids and workers in "I Think I'm Gonna Like it Here," such as Annette and Cecille, etc.
This website might help: http://www.stageagent.com/shows.php?id=719 The information on Stageagent is usually a little off, but it'll give you a general idea of some of the roles. Good luck. Ps. musikal_geek and futureMUNGOJERRIE are very correct--you'll get a lot more responses if you type with a simple font and proper formatting. Just a suggestion for future posting. |
