hello dolly auditions for Irene Malloy

Hello im auditioning for Irene Malloy in Hello Dolly in about a week and a half. Here is my problem...

the company asks us to prepare 8 measures of "Ribbons down my Back"
they ask for 90 seconds of auditions including song and monolouge.

Should i Prepare a song NOT from the show too and say i have 2 songs prepared... "ribbons down my back" and... ______? (something good for a widowed women who is looking for love)

Also a monolouge which have NO CLUE what to do for that... Help me pick one!

Also, on the flyer it says prepare a monlouge and/or song... and if you (the auditionee) arent prepared they will have you cold read and teach a song...
What should i do? Not prepare a monolouge and have them make me cold read?

so all in all i want to know what song to sing, what monolouge to prepare, and if i should prepare one, the other, or both.

If I were to chose between cold reading and cold singing I would definately go with cold reading...it is MUCH easier especially if you have never heard of the song they have prepared. As for which song I would go with something like "My White Knight" or "Till There Was You" from the Music Man...I think they would be great for a Irene Mallow audition.
