Headshot help...please...

so basically, I'm 17 years old, and getting professional pictures are a little out of the question right now. So these are some homemade headshots. I need opinions on which to send to a casting for a musical in development about college students. **sorry if they're huge...**

1)

2)

3)

so the first two are the crappy, home made ones... yes... they are pretty crappy quality (bonus points if anyone can reccomend a free computer program that I could try to fix them up with...), and the last one is my school picture from this year. I look believably older in the first two, IMO, but my school shot is much better quality...

paintshop pro is good for fixing. but personally i think the school shot looks good.

The third one is so obviously a school photo. Thats tacky.

I like the first.

First one.
Bianca.

first one in black and white?

if you don't have a program that will do it, I'd be glad to do it for you.
dwarves r very upsetting

Google has a free photo program called Picasa. I love it. It can help you edit pictures and even see them in black in white. Here's the link. Good luck.

I like the fact that you are facing more forward on your school pic, but I like your eyes best in the first one...And, like Christinadaae said...The third one is so obviously a school picture, so I would go with the first!
choochoo

first one.

thanks a lot everyone. Yeah, I was leaning more towards the first one anyway.

oh, so SHOULD I put it into B/W?? Someone mentioned it further up on the page, but I was under the impression that color was all right too...?

really appreciate the help! Very Happy Very Happy

I would do it in black and white, only because I don't like the purple background...

Most headshots are black and white.
Plus, I find color headshots tacky anyway.

That's not the trend anymore...In NYC and LA, 90% of headshots are now in color...

Ok. I think I'll try and go with the B&W... yeah... the purple background sucks... It's my bedroom wall..haha.

Thanks so much guys... you're amazing!

Really? I've seen headshots for models in color, but never for actors. No one tells me these things! Confused

^Where's my "The More You Know" Rainbow when I need it? LOL! Wink

But seriously, the trend has really begun to appear in NYC in the past couple of years or so...

But I do think, for this emergency "headshot" that she needs, it's best if she goes B&W because of the background color, which she acknowledged was her bedroom wall! Smile
