You're all too sweet  . I'm surprised you remember me.
Today's been... a mixed day.
Waking up at 7:30 = no good
Working from 10 to 11:45 = kinda good (I love my job as a scenic carpenter, but I was tired  )
Getting off work 15 minutes early for a birthday lunch with a friend = really good
The soup and sandwich I had for lunch = really good
Going to the first day of TA 352 - Musical Theatre = fantabulously good
Introducting myself to the director of Urinetown at my University and securing my position as Stage Manager = supremely good
Getting calls from my grandma, mom, and friends = nicely good
Working again from 3-4 = kinda good
Getting off work an hour early = mega good
Buying food = good
Coming home to my new high-speed internet and my residual check from my uni = wonderly good
Hanging out with my boyfriend = wonderly good
My boyfriend leaving early due to homework = suxxors
Crying a lot due to being a freakin' girl = suxxors
My roommate being away at work and staying with his boyfriend tonight = suxxors
So maybe it's just the last three things that made it a bad day. I might go deposit my check and get a small cake and party it up with my hedgehog, Zenglebert.

Were I cleverer, Nell, I'd have responded with a Izzard quote. Eddie Izzard is one of the loves of my life. Zenglebert (who's last name is Bembledack, naturally) and I are very pleased when people recognize his name (though, I think Izzard actually says "Zinglebert"... I thought the 'e' looked better, and I can just shorten it to "Zen"... though I never do).
And here he is!

Those are from the day I got him (he was 11 weeks old)... he's a bit bigger now, at about 4 months of age. He's still a baby, though.

How do you take care of a hedgehog when you live in an appartment on the 7th floor without a garden?? Here in Barcelona they sell hedgehogs in the animal stalls in las Ramblas (most common touristic place in Barcelona) and I've thought that I could buy one for myself once I have my own apartment, is that or a chameleon... well or of course a cat. I'm still thinking. Well I said that thing of the 7th floor because I live there but of course I won't have the money to buy an other attic... So how do you take care of a hedgehog in a small appartment??

I live in an apartment, and I don't find it hard to take care of Zenglebert at all.
I'm not sure if they sell European Hedgehogs or African ones (like mine) in Spain, but all they really need is a large cage (Guinea pig-style) with a solid floor, a wheel to run in, food, heat (between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit), and love.
They don't need to be outdoors... and shouldn't be without it being very warm and constant supervision, and they don't need to 'roam' around an apartment without supervision as well (and all little hiding places would need to be blocked off).
I'm holding him right now... he's being a bit huffy today... probably angry I woke him up. I just let him sleep most of the day away, then take him out at night and play with him. He spends the rest of the night running happily in his wheel.
It's a pretty nice deal.

Heee! That's too cute! He has a wheel!! Sorry, I just find it strangely exciting! I'm only used to catching glimpses of hedgehogs snuffling around our rabbit hutches after the slugs! He looks very very cute though.
You should get another and call it 'Slapbang Walla'. *chuckle* I am a massive Izzard fan too...
Mind you, all my bunnies have very odd names... Spibby, Squee, Iffy and Roo. I don't think pets should have ordinary names like Fluffy or Spot... I'm sure that giving them unusual names gives them extra special unique characters.
