Handmade CharacterThemed Necklaces for Sale (Nessa complete)Yep, these are hand made by myself, using glass beads, in my own design. The beads are not plastic, and do not appear 'cheep' or 'tacky'; the thread is strong, and goes through each bead in the box section at least twice, through each single line of beads, 4 times. It wont break!
I have yet to make the Glinda or Elphaba inspired necklaces, but I have brought the beads I will use specifically for them. This means, that I can custom tailor them to whatever length you chose, and even custom design them for you as well.
Below is an example of the finished necklace, my own design. Please note, that there will be additional 'centre piece' beads on the bottom of the drop strings (see below), and I can also shorten or lengthen the drop lengths, if you want.
The beads I will be using (bar the 'centre piece' beads) are marginally smaller then the ones used in the necklace above, giving it a slightly classier look. Unfortunately, I don’t have any examples left. Behind the neck, the box section finishes, and a (slightly patterned) single line of beads leads up to the clasp.
For Glinda themes necklaces, I will be using the below 'centre piece' beads.
Transparent pale pink beautifully faceted glass beads- 5cm in length (will be used on the ends of each drop string)
Translucent pale pink elongated oval glass beads- 23cm in length (will be used on the centre drop string, and two on alternate drop strings after)
Translucent/transparent white elongated oval glass beads- 23cm in length (will be used on the centre drop string, and two on alternate drop strings after)
For Elphaba themed necklaces:
Stunning opaque black faceted glass beads- 5cm in length (will be used on the ends of each drop string)
These are the main beads which will be used for the necklace. The Green will be the 'main colour' (taking the place of the lilac beads in the picture), the black will be the 'secondary colour' (taking the place of the pearl white beads in the picture)
Possibly not for either Glinda or Elphaba themed necklace, but stunning anyway:
Stunning translucent dark blue faceted glass beads- 5cm in length (will be used on the ends of each drop string) I can also get dark red and red versions of these beads, for a similar effect.
I have yet to fully calculate the actual prices (these will depend on the materials used, length of necklace, and specialised requirements), but they will possibly be between £15-£20. Please note, that a lot of hours go into making a single necklace. With the more expensive 'centre piece' beads, I may have to add a little more.
Please contact me if you are interested, prices are not set. I do not plan on costing much extra (if at all) for specialised colours or lengths (within reason!), so if you are curious, just ask. I wont bite! I will be making these necklaces anyway, and will be uploading pics of them when the main section is completed.

I enjoy making jewelry myself so I very pleased to see another elphaba/glinda jewelry maker! Are you using stravinkiski(can't spell!) beads?
As for the pretty blue ones, who not be creative and make a Nessarose necklace?

Thanks for the idea. I have just completed the main part of that very necklace, and I am hoping to see if anyone is interested in buying it.
All that remains is to do the line of beads which will go round the back of the neck and connect to the clasp. I havent done this yet, as I wish to make it the correct length for the person who wishes to buy.
Please tell me if you are interested or intrigued. The price will probably be £17.50. I have put this up on other forums, so if there is a lot of interest, I will make multiple versions of this. Please know that I do have a lot of commitments for my university, which I must complete in good time before I go back. I will complete this as soon as it is brought, but any other projects will have to wait at least 2 weeks.

Oh your welcome! I made myself a Glinda and Nessa necklace before, but Glinda's broke and I took Nessa's apart so I could use the beads. Your Nessarose necklace is beautiful with the blue beads.

Hrmmm I want an Elphie one! But I don't really like buying stuff from the other side of the world over the internet. It worries me. :S

Wow, those are very pretty. I agree though, the idea of buying stuff from halfway across the world off the internet is a scary prospect, so won't be purchasing them. If I could, though, I would wear it every day.

You know, i was experementing with my beads late one night, just threading them up in some random pattern, not sure what i was going to get out of it, and i got a round netted circle, where the edges would colapse in on themselves. I can see how to pull it together into a cone shape, with a brim which raises on one side. Still very experemental, but ill give it a go.

well, 45 dollars is more like 60 australian dollars and then like $20 for postage and handling and me, being a 14 yr old with no income (till im 15 the legal age of employment here) and not the richest parents in the world that may be kind of hard to arrange..... or afford. But ill try and save up.
that netted circel sounds interesting, if you are successful could u post a pic of it? ill probably buy if off you if you want...
