Well, I bought the Hairspray Broadway Cast Recording today, and I'm slightly confused. A few months ago I downloaded a few songs ("Welcome to the Sixties" and "Good Morning Baltimore" among two others) to see if I liked the show before deciding on buying the CD. Well, the woman playing Tracy on my versions of "Welcome to the Sixties" and "Good Morning Baltimore" isn't, I think, the same woman who plays Tracy on the Broadway CD. Also, the GMB I downloaded has a few different lyrics in the third verse and doesn't have the "I promise Baltimore" line, and it doesn't have the big drumroll end to GMB. Also, WttS is a lot shorter on the downloaded one. Is this an earlier cast, later cast, or whatnot? I'm curiously, since although I like the Broadway Tracy, I like the other one too and I'm curious to know who she is. Anyone know?

I think that the people who you bought it from don't have the rights to one that is on the CD. Where did you get it from may be I can take a quick peak.

I found three different versions of "Good Morning Baltimore" on Napsterlinks. You can check out each link above, and enter your email address to hear the full length songs. Then you can see if the version you're looking for is there. I hope this is helpful.
