I wrote an email to Patti LuPone telling her that she should have a performance of "Gypsy" professionally taped like "Into the Woods" etc. She wrote back just a few hours later saying:
Dear Terri, It's not up to me. I would love it, however. Thank you for your compliments. Love, Patti Pretty cool to get a response so fast. One can only hope for a video. |

or at least a pbs broadcast of it with the possibility of a video, especially this is really been reputed as some of her best work.
i'm excited for the recording though, I feel like Gypsy could probably be one of the most recorded musicals - anyone know? |

Gypsy has 7 english language recoding.. OBC, FILM, OLC, Daly revival, Peters revival,TV, and now lupone revival.
Anything goes beats it with OLC,1962 Revival, 1963 London, 1987 broadwya revival,Criswell studio recording,mary martin studio recording,1989 London, and barrowman london recording.
