Gypsy first show?I am in the process of opening my own theater company ("Fresh Act Theatre Company") and am planning on doing Gypsy as my first show summer of 2004. Do you think this is a good idea or bad idea?Why? Thanks for your input.

Gypsy would be a great way to get a lot of people involved, since it can have such a large cast. It's also heavy on the parts for girls so you don't have to search out as many guys for the show. Plus GYPSY ROCKS!

With the current revival, it would surely have some hype around it, if you were to do it. Just . . . make sure you cast it right. If you get a bad Rose, the show will die. Simple as that. But, if you have a good Rose then I say go for it
