I have an audition for Grease coming up. I'm an alto with strong belting. I'd really like Rizzo and I need 16 measures but were prefer more of an UPBEAT Broadway song asap because it's rather last minute.
Anyone have suggestions?

I would recommend something like "Stars and the Moon" from Songs for a New World.

My thought process? Rizzo is a complicated character and there are some parts in the show where she bares her soul. You need to be carefree and funny, but you also need to get the whole "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" mentality.

Vanillabean I feel like I'm following you on whatever threads I read lol. Rizzo is kind of tricky, as stated in the reasons above. I'm going to say MAYBE 'out tonight' from Rent? It's the first thing that popped in my head considering Grease is such a fun show, but use your best judgment.
