Hey guys, I was just wondering what song I should sing for an upcoming Grease audition, and maybe even what part I should try out for. I'm around 5'8" and 200lbs, so I'm not the skinniest guy out there, but I have a nice baritone range (low Eb- High Ab in belt), and can do character roles really well. For my audition I was planning on singing something from either Bye Bye Birdie or Hairspray because theyre both in the same time period as Grease, but the only two songs I can really think of to do from those shows are: It Takes Two (Hairspray), and A Lot of Livin' to Do (Bye Bye Birdie), and I'm not so sure I want to do either of them.

Also, for the character I was planning on auditioning for, it was going to be a choice between both Roger and Doody, because while I would look better I guess with Jan (seeing as she's heavier too), Roger's older than Doody and college kids WILL be doing this production as well, so Doody looked like my best bet. Please help!

I think I see you as a really good Sonny.
And 'Alot of livin' from BBB could work really well for the character, and with your voice.



Alot of my plans for this summer have fallen through.. So I think this show is a possibility for me. ((granted 42nd street still wins out if it's an option.. but we'll see what happens. )) I honestly don't know who I'd go for. What do ya think? haha.. I'll IM you.. we'll chat.

Hey B! Yeah, I REALLY want Sonny actually, I realized this after posting this and rewatching the movie, I mean I DO kind of sort of look like him... oh and I DEFINITELY see you as a Rizz... are we kidding? You'd be amazing as a Rizz! And yes, we'll definitely have to talk.
