Gershwin Theatre seat question

Hi, I've never seen the show and I'm trying to purchase tickets for Jan 15/16th-ish for my girlfriend and I.

All the prices I saw online were too high so I went to eBay where I found the tickets to be much cheaper.

Is it worth paying $200 for seats like Orchestra row B/K (far right side) or Mid Orchestra row DD?

I did find a Mid Orchestra row S for $300. Is this a good deal?

I fnd $200 too much for anywhere. Aren't they $75? Or is thatfor the worser seats?
jetblack_diva

you got to be kidding me! $200 for a ticket. Broadway or not! I went for $75 and there is no way that you can get a bad seat for Wicked! I was farther back but not in the back and I actually felt bad for those in the front rows! find a lower cost I wouldn't care where it was in the theatre

Normal prices are $115.

Wherever your looking, you're getting screwed if you pay $200.

Try www.broadwaybox.com.

Yeah, we got ours for $110, and it was like... eighth row. You'd be stupid to by those $200 or $300 ones.

It's hard to have a bad seat in that theater. I saw it farther to the back and could still see everything and everyone, and it still felt like you were right there. The Gershwin's well designed like that Smile

This is true....We saw WICKED from the Balcony and it felt as close as the Pantages' Mezzanine in Los Angeles.

That's cuz the Pantages Theater is ridiculously huge.

LA theaters are big, in general. Royce Hall and the Ahmanson are humongous too.

Actually, the Pantages is one of the smaller "grand" theatres as it used to be an old movie house back in the day.

Now, if we're talking about the Ahmanson or the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, I'll agree with you hands down!!! They hold over 3000 people!!!

Shoot. The Saenger in N.O. seats 4,000. I didn't realize it was that big.

Compared to a lot of theaters on Broadway though, the Pantages is pretty big.

A lot of Broadway theaters can barely hold past 500, which is the minimum for it to be considered a Broadway theater.

No argument here....I love that many of the Broadway theatres are smaller. can't remember of the name of the theatre, but the space AVENUE Q is at is a prime example of a smaller Broadway house.
