General QuestionsWhat's the proper format for an actor's resume? What's proper attire for an audition? Should you wear makeup at an audition? If so, how much? Thanks! |

1.) http://theater.about.com/library/blsampres.htm
2.) Nothing too plain but nothing too stand-outish either. A safe outfit. (Ex: A lady might wear a nice and solid colored tank with thick shoulder straps and a flowy black skirt that ends at her calves or a little below her knees. A guy might wear a button down collared shirt with the sleeves slightly rolled up and khakis or really nice jeans) I also think it's smart when people dress to slightly suit the character they're trying for. Now I'm not saying if you're trying out for a slutty character to show up in a thong, but if it's a more outgoing, romantic character a red top with a black bottom could be nice, if it's a shy character a more soft color and flowier fabric, etc. 3.) I dunno about this one. I'd assume just the basic everyday stuff, like eyeliner and some coverup. But I'm not a girl, so I'm probably not the best in this category. |
